Rumors of the Sea is the latest choreographic performance by Dimitri Tsiapkinis produced by the association Omnivion as part of the Newtopia 8 series and in response to an invitation by the festival Les Inattendus of the City Hall of Tours. It was presented on the 15th of August 2020, at the Guinguette of Tours (37000).

It is a structured improvisation, with material from Omni-Nihilum / Newtopia 8.3, inspired by a quote from the Greek writer Nikos Kazantzakis who questions the notion of happiness: “We remained silent near the brazier, late at night. I felt again how simple and frugal happiness is: a glass of wine, a chestnut, a miserable stove, the rumor of the sea. Nothing else.
