Falling, and rising…Fall again, rise again. An old story…of dance.

Tensions crush us but they also keep us upright.

Some of us are not afraid of conflict, others – like me – live in anguish in the face of impending conflict. Art could give us the support we need to contain opposites without breaking. However, art is not a therapy. It can heal us, but it can also tear apart our worldviews and leave us powerless. Which pole to choose, which perspective, which truth and when? Each step, each breath draws new lines on our dualist cartographies. Could the 21st century reveal other, non-binary answers to the miracle of life? What evolution for the Human when Artificial Intelligence has already transcended the binary with Google’s quantum supercomputer?

Yes…big questions that we don’t really understand, but they still intrigue us.

A new challenge with ourselves manifests itself: What dance should we invent on our lost steps, in incessant oscillation between black and white, masculine and feminine, zero and one? In spite of our limited knowledge, our neuroses, our psychoses, everyone will search for answers with their singularity, their subjectivity, their feeling… An unpredictable balancing act that renews our existential vertigo?” Dimitri Tsiapkinis
