The « Nobodies» really exist ?

« Le rien existe aussi bien que le quelque chose » Héraclite d’Héphèse.

This sentence was projected on a big screen during a scene of our creation Politeïes on September 27th, in response to a violent remark expressed in a highly debatable political discourse… The men of power, the economic giants are always afraid of large popular gatherings. With Newtopia, we seek creative solidarity that promotes cooperative arts, as opposed to exploitation models that threaten life on our small planet. Certainly, we are “just” a handful of dance enthusiasts and some of us have not “succeeded” in the myth of the career, but we are confident that thousands, if not millions of handfuls of “nobodies” are forming in this moment in order to imagine a better world.

NEWTOPIA 7 : Dance for, with, or without the others ?

Before we talk to you about our plans for the coming months, here is some last-minute news: Newtopia 7.5 which was scheduled late, was not announced in our September newsletter. So don’t miss this beautiful (?) exhibition that began on October 5 at the Bar le Strapontin. Open until November 4. Opening on October 20th(!) à 18H. More info : Newtopia 7.5

  • 20 October : Vernissage of Newtopia 7.5 / Extatic Body : photography by Dimitri Tsiapkinis.
  • 5 oct – 4 nov 2019 : Newtopia 7.5 : Being Other / Extatic Body, photographic exhibition by Dimitri Tsiapkinis, at the bar le Strapontin in Tours (37000)
  • 15 November 2019 : Newtopia 7.6, (private event), dance conference by Dimitri Tsiapkinis at the Annual Meeting of Psychomotricity Therapies, at espace Malraux, Joué-lès-Tours (37300).
  • 7 December, 2019 : Newtopia 7.7 (private event), at the Trousseau Hospital Psychiatry A, Tours (37000)
  • 20 December 2019 : Newtopia 7.3, at the Centre Social la Rabière / Joué-lès-Tours (37300)
