Contemporary dance weekly workshop with Dimitri Tsiapkinis / 2021-2022 (Mixed level)

A new series of Omnivion workshops begins this September 15th, 2021!

The objectives are :

>Study various contemporary dance practices
>Experience the pleasure of improvising and inventing dances; alone or with others.
>Participate in the invention of choreographic material for Newtopia 9 and 10 (Inclusive dance projects)

A technical and creative work with the fundamentals of contemporary dance drawn from multiple sources, such as somatic practices (perceptive pedagogy/fascia-therapy), Shaolin martial arts, physical theatre, dances from elsewhere. Improvisations promote and re-contextualize the technical work. We insist on the sensitive expressivity and singularity of the dancer in opposition to the body as object that persists in our societies. The materials we will share might potentially transfer into various performances in the framework of Newtopia 9 (2021) and Newtopia 10 (2022). A possible participation in public performances will be decided after discussion with the project director.

Time : wednesdays 18H30-21H00 (25 sessions)

Place : Centre social La Rabière, Rue de la Rotiére 37300 Joué-lès-Tours (Il y a une station de tramway juste devant la porte!)

Annual price : 225€ (Payment facilities are possible)
