goals

The xsoma group is five years old and growing.

It was founded on March 22^nd 2002 with two improvisation happenings in public spaces in Thessaloniki.

Ever since there has been numerous happenings and workshops. Goal of the group is “the promotion of the value of dance, movement intelligence and live performance for the development of sensibility and responsibility within the social and physical ecology...”. The non-utilitarian  involvement with dance, in other words CREATION, is equally promoted...if not celebrated!

Themes of great importance for the xsoma group :

·                    Perception matters in human movement and posture

·                    Development of the body’s sensibility through the art of dancing for all ages

·                    Creation of spaces where choreographic and pedagogic projects can take place.

·                    Creation of networks of exchange between students, artists, scientists and public
