2003
The new production of xsoma on the 18 October 2003 at the Royal Theatre of Thessaloniki!
Through its work, xsoma
dance company tries to communicate on individual and on public basis at the same time.
Their purpose is to speak and propose
through dance, to make comments on the notions of competition and vanity,
through scepticism and research. Their new performance is presented on Saturday,
October 18 at the Royal Theatre in Thessaloniki, in the context of the
Dance
Groups Festival - Tribute to Daniel Lommel.
Four choreographies make the performance of xsoma
dance company, each one dealing with different issues and subjects; issues on which they make their comment through an extract-sample of "merciless"
skill.
Thus, a train, a symphonic orchestra, three female dancers, a pendulum and an...
incontrollable person get together in one thing that results in a piece under
the title "Folon".
Following up "Folon", the company presents the choreographies "Micronevma
1.2," a kinesthetic adventure in the slowness of a 10-year-old girl, and "For-get, Forget" -or else, where we look at, is where
we live.
The perfomance ends with a... reservation: "Maybe, also..." is the
title of the last choreography. The truth is always hidden, so that we can't
find it; it appears only when we think that no-one is watching.
